The Moulded Range

Veneer Plus
To our already popular veneer plus range, we have added the oak veneer plus duo. This range consists of two of our most popular veneer colours in one door; white oak and walnut, in a single or double line. The simple designs are of a high quality, and of a distinctive and modern design.

Another addition in this range is the horizontal veneer plus design which is again available in either walnut or oak. The clean and contemporary designs are simple yet aesthetically appealing, and again highly suitable for modern interiors. The doors included within the veneer plus range all have improved acoustic barrier capabilities, and selected ranges are available in fireshield and firemaster options. HD Oak
The HD Oak combines modern minimalism with superior durability. Manufactured using innovative surface technology, the HD oak meets market demands for high quality designs, which are much more durable than average doors. The HD oak combines a solid core with a concealed lipped four edge finish, giving a high specification premium finish which is three times more scratch and scrape resistant when compared to a standard foil door, and twice as resistant when compared to a veneered door.

High Gloss Paint Grade Plus
Following on from customers preference to glossy kitchen cabinet doors, Premdor have launched the high gloss paint grade plus door, which offers an impeccable high gloss paint finish, a result which is almost impossible to achieve using traditional on site painting methods.

Timber Windows
We have various design options available when it comes to our windows, all of which have been designed with our customers’ needs in mind. Whether you require windows for a period property, or you live in a conservation area, or just need to replace existing windows, we have a design to suit you. This unique, ground - breaking, quality design is exclusive to Premdor. It has been designed with the modern, minimalist buyer in mind, and provides a blank canvas for simple or bold finishes. Made in the UK, Premdor offer various additional features to the one panel moulded smooth range. So whether you are looking for clear glazed or white/chrome leaded glazed versions of this door; Premdor have it all.

Masonite horizontal 4 line
Another design exclusive to Premdor, the smooth finish gives a sleek modern look and feel, and is ideal for both bold and simple design finishes. This high quality door is available in a Standard Core and fire door option, to suit all applications. Additionally, Premdor also offer a clear and a narrow clear glazed version of the horizontal 4 line door.

Oak veneer plus duo - single and double line
The new oak duo combines two of our most popular veneer choices in a single door. The door comprises of a 35mm solid core construction as standard, so the range is available as either duo single line, or duo double line with alternative glazed options. The range is ideal for environments where enhanced noise control is a necessity.

Horizontal Veneer Plus (Oak and Walnut)
Premdor introduce the new Oak and Walnut horizontal veneer plus doors to our already popular range, which come with a solid core construction as standard and a full PEFC chain of custody. The doors are of a simple and contemporary design, and are made with a high quality veneer which offers premium value to our discerning customers. The veneer plus range provides a superlative acoustic barrier, which is ideal for environments which demand effective sound proofing.

HD oak
The HD oak is our ‘highest specification’ door; due to its high durability laminate face, which has been manufactured using the latest innovative surface technology. This pioneering technology ensures that the textured effect doors are realistic, warm and pleasant to touch. Made in the UK, the HD oak combines a solid core with a concealed lipped four edge finish, giving a high specification premium finish, which is three times more scratch and scrape resistant, when compared to a standard foil door, and it is twice as resistant when compared to a veneered door.

High-gloss paint grade plus
The new paint grade plus door, has a solid core construction and comes with a full PEFC chain of custody certification. The door is manufactured using innovative technology which offers a high gloss paint finish to every door. This result is almost impossible to achieve using traditional on-site painting methods.

Exterior solid European oak and Hardwood French doors
Our French doors allow uninterrupted access to your garden or patio in a stylish and elegant way, and now, our new European solid oak and hardwood French doors are available in a Police approved, Secure by Design specification which offers; dead bolts, and an enhanced multi-point locking system along with various other security features as standard.

Vertical Sliding Sash and Conservation windows
These windows may be of an existing design, but the new Secured by Design specification means that its safety levels are now Police approved; this means that toughened glass and multipoint locking systems and shoot bolts are a standardised feature under this option. Whether for a period property or a conservation area, these FSC approved windows provide a solution that lets you install modern, energy efficient windows, without incurring planning problems.

All of Premdor’s veneered doors are now available manufactured with PEFC chain of custody. This means that they are manufactured from materials that are guaranteed as being from sustainable wood sources.

Premdor’s extensive range of products are available to supply customers with either FSC or PEFC, which offers assurance that an independently audited route to market is being followed. The process includes annotation of certifiction on all associated documentation. This process in particular guarantees that sustainable wood sources are being used.

From 14th February our full range of veneered doors including Innovas, veneer plus and standard veneers are available with PEFC chain of custody. Please contact our sales office for more information and a competitive quotation.

WoodTone

The WoodTone range of interior foil finish doors offers clean lines and a modern real wood appearance. The door faces are fully finished, durable and easy to clean. An advantage to the foil finish is that the doors are consistent in colour and shade, with easily matched, non fade faces to coordinate with flooring and furnishings. The range is available in oak, ash and beech finish and complimented by FD30 fire door and glazed options.


Wessex

The handsome Wessex range is supplied fully lacquer finished, enhancing the deep grain features of the natural oak appearance. Constructed from engineered timber components, feature panels are raised and fielded and set off by a planted perimeter bead section. Clear glazed bevel edge glass door options complete the package.
Premdor has also made additions to its popular Clear Pine and Somerset Oak ranges.


Shaker

New for April 2008 is the Shaker interior door. This range is available in two panel and half light glazed, with FD30 fire door options. Shaker incorporates smooth door faces primed in white, which are suitable for painting. The simple styling of this door is effective and refreshing and is ideal in a modern setting.

The closure announcement follows a full process of review and consultation involving the Company’s Senior Management, workforce, employee representatives that started in early October 2007.

The above closure is targeted for completion during quarter one 2008 and detailed below are the immediate amendments to the current product offer.

• Premium Softwood Feature Doors - discontinued during Q1 2008.

CRASH aims to help homelessness charities to improve their premises, facilities and accommodation provided for homeless people. CRASH brings together the expertise and help of professionals and companies from the UK construction and property industries to assist homelessness projects to reduce construction costs.

Premdor regards CRASH as an important charity to be associated with and have built up a relationship over the last few years.

The ’No Christmas Card Campaign’ in 2007 has so far raised over £89,000 for the homelessness charities. Premdor is proud to have supported this worthy campaign.

Premdor is a proud supporter of CRASH and has helped out with it’s latest project.

The House of Genesis in Norwich asked for CRASH’s assistance to provide and install fire doors and an integrated fire alarm system for a five bedroom terrace house they purchased. This would mean the house would meet the ’House in Multiple Occupation, regulations. The house is a home for ex-homeless men and the development would ensure they lived in a much safer environment with better resources.

The Alpha Design 24 range is now available with a clear engineered timber option, which offers an even higher specification window alternative.

The 100% clear timber is supplied with a base coat honey finish, which allows for final finishing on site in either a stain or paint, with minimal site preparation, and provides an impressive high quality appearance.

The absence of large knots or other defective aspects stabilizes movement and eliminates factors such as resin bleed which can damage decorative coats, and accordingly reduce maintenance costs and frequency.

All engineered Timber used in the Alpha 24 range is supplied with full FSC accreditation, which ensures that the raw material is sourced from well managed and sustainable sources.

The use of selected laminated and finger jointed material enhances component strength and stability, without the need to increase the sectional dimensions of the components. It is also a key feature in meeting the intruder resistance requirements of the British Standards and Secured By Design criteria. Typically if the window is attacked the components will resist against the intrusion, but if split or damaged then the damage will be limited to a localised area.

New for October 2006 is the Provence 24 sliding terrace doorset. This new range features a high performance running track system, allowing the doors to be fully retracted. The incline design is pleasing to the eye with a choice of full height or panelled designs. This new range is available in two size options, with a choice of internal or external openings, to suit a variety of applications.

Premdor have introduced a clear engineered timber option to the already established Design 24 window range. This offers an even higher specification window alternative which provides a knot free appearance. These windows can be finished in clear or light stain to create an impressive high quality appearance.
